Marlene Taylorof Raleigh, N.C.Marlene Taylor of Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Owego and Watertown, passed away at her home on December 8, 2004. She was born in Endicott, N.Y. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all. Marlene was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Adams Center, Glen Ida Chapter and served as District Deputy Grand Matron. Using her love of children and her profession as an RN, she worked at the House of the Good Samaratin Hospital in Watertown, N.Y., in Pediatrics for many years. She was preceded in death by her son, Johnnie Taylor; and her parents, William and Vivian Sperring Thomas. She is survived by her sons, Mark, Tom and his wife, Mary Jo and Steven, Watertown, N.Y.; daughter, Brenda Janjani, Raleigh, N.C.; son, Jeffery and his wife, Melinda, Holly Springs, N.C.; and husband, John Taylor, Watertown, N.Y.; grandchildren, Emily Taylor, Clay, N.Y., Jayme, Zachary, and Caleb Taylor and Shannon Wood, Watertown, N.Y.; step-grandchildren, Brandi and Mark Grooms, Holly Springs; sister, Beverly Howell and her husband, Art; sister, Claire Harders, Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Bill Thomas and his wife, Sande, Caton, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jim Kuhns.A graveside service will be held at a later date in Smithville, N.Y., in June of 2005.
