SMITH Marjorie P., 86, of Whiting, NJ, formerly of Bogota, NJ, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012. Born to John E. Smith and Ingeborg C. Blomquist in Bogota, NJ where she spent most of her life up until 1996 before moving to Whiting, NJ. She worked as an executive administrator for Cannon Mills and later for Turnbull Elevators NYC. She was a dedicated volunteer for the Red Cross, and for a senior retirement employment organization the SPRY Foundation for many years as well as for the Crestwood Village paper drives when help was needed. Marjorie loved family gatherings, travel, swimming, walking, bird-watching, cross-word puzzles, scrabble, and taking care of neighbors and friends. She was a care giver to her parents their entire life and did it with great joy. She will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Marjorie is predeceased by her brothers Robert W. and Edward C. Smith, and her sister Mabel C. Dolle. Survived by her sister Dorothy Orr, as well as by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family will receive their relatives and friends for a memorial gathering at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ, on Wednesday, August 8, from 9:30-10:30 AM. A chapel service will be held at Becker Funeral Home immediately after the memorial gathering; then a burial of cremated remains at the St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph's School for the Blind, 251 Baldwin Ave., Jersey City, NJ 07303, The Seeing Eye, 10 Washington Valley Rd. P.O.
