Marilyn J. (Burnham) Anderson, age 83 years, of Brockton died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Richard F. Anderson. Born Friday, March 2, 1928, in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Channing F. and Dorothy (Harrold) Burnham. Marilyn was a 1946 graduate of Brockton High School and a 1947 graduate of Winslow Secretarial School in Boston and had lived in Brockton, Cape Cod and Venice, Fla. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for the Mutron Corporation in Brockton and was a member of the Brockton Country Club and Jacaranda West Country Club in Venice, Fla. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling, crafts, handwork and played the piano and keyboard. She also attended church at the Venice United Church of Christ and at the Community Covenant Church in East Bridgewater. She is survived by four children, Lynn Martin and her husband Kevin of Brockton, Gail LaLiberte and her husband Edmond of Lakeville, Dr. Richard Anderson and his wife Karen of Virginia and Janice Makris and her husband Dr. Joseph Makris of Westborough; seven grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Winnie Burnham of Middleboro; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Richard H. Burnham. Marilyn will be deeply missed by her family and will be in their hearts forever. A funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St., Lakeville. Visitation will take place Monday from 10-10:30. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
