Born in Nanaimo B.C. October 4, 1927 to proud parents Weldon and Emily. Passed with her family by her side in Duncan BC, December 23, 2012. It's with sad Hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Aunty and Friend. The community knew her as "Cowichan Mama". Her family knew her as a women with a deep love for her Culture and Family. She was a strong, proud woman, always ready to open her door to anyone that needed it for a meal and laughter and love. Mama's many kind words will stay with many throughout her family and the community.Mama married Earl Williams (deceased) and had 11 Children, (deceased) Marge(Doug), Hank, Dick(Donna), (deceased) Bruce(Bonnie), Sid(Yana), Ted(Lyne), Faith(Darrel), George(Andrea), (deceased) Arnie, Sam, Stephen(Judy). She had 31 amazing Grandchildren and with that came her beautiful Great Grandchildren, her family even extended into Great Great Grandchildren. We can't count the amount of honorary Grandbabies she has taken in over the years as her own. Her immediate family, her Nieces and Nephews or her Friends from all over, it didn't matter who you were, everyone had a piece of her heart.Grieve not, nor speak of me with tearsBut laugh and talk of me as if I were beside youI loved you so.
