Marie V. Parfait, 90, a native and resident of Dulac, died at 8:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2005.Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Dulac. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Prevost Cemetery.She is survived by five sons, Michael J. Parfait, Tony P. Parfait, Peter J. Parfait, Eston P. Parfait and Andrew Naccio; four daughters, Marie P. Verdin, Josephine Naccio, May Plaisance and Judy Fontenot; 40 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.Abraham J.She was preceded in death by her husband, Parfait; her parents, Frank and Lucy Parfait Foret; three sons, Lawrence A. Parfait, Peter Trahan and Larry Trahan; three daughters, Florence Soudlier, Margarette Cupp and Shirley Trahan; one brother, Essley Foret; five sisters, Amanda F. Billiot, Evelyn Parfait, Virginia Trahan, Mary Hebert and Mrs. Ernest Parfait; one grandson, Anthony Parfait; and one great-granddaughter, Sierra Parfait.She was a member of the Tribal Chairman, Ladies Altar Society and Holy Family-Cure D’Ars.She enjoyed bingo and casino trips.She was a Catholic.Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
