ROY, Marie Anne "Beverly"-The death of Miss Roy occurred Tuesday, December 9, 2003, in Halifax, in Arborstone Enhanced Care Facility, where she had resided for the past five years. She died after a lengthy illness at the age 67. Born in Bathurst, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Arthur P. and Hilda (Lavigne) Roy. She was the last member of her imêmediate family. She was predeceased by brothers, Arthur Jr., Vernon, Adolphus; sisters, Gladys Gough and Mildred Buckley. While living in Bathurst, Bev was an employee of the Federal Government and an active member of the Bathurst Curling Club. For the past 30 years, she resided in Halifax. She is survived by her nephews, Gordon Roy (Charlene), Bathurst, and their family: Jason, Trevor and Kim; also nephews, Peter Roy, Saint John, N.B.; Peter Gough, Halifax; nieces, Janice (Gough) Heraugh, Pennsylvania, and Susan Buckley, New York. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
