Margaret Yvonne Murphy, age 84, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away peacefully Feb. 9, 2009, at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Yvonne was born on Sept. 2, 1924, in Greenville, Va., to Kenneth and Margaret Schultz. She made Fort Walton Beach her home since 1960. Yvonne worked for Chuck Clary for 15 years tending bar at the Red Carpet Lounge. Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Valarie and son-in-law Greg Reeves; her four grandchildren, Deeca Singletary, Catherine Shores, Stephen Palladino and Charlotte Palladino; several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Charlotte Poole of Irondale, Ala., JoAn Pitts of Largo, Fla., Betty Ruckman and George Senn of Fort Walton Beach; one brother, Tommy Schultz of Panama City, Fla.; as well as her niece, Sherrie and husband Mike Phillips of Fort Walton Beach; great-nephew, Michael Province; and several other great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her friends, Becky Shirley and Evelyn Griffith of Birmingham, Ala., and Terri Goldsmith, Gerty Barton and Gail Leonard of Fort Walton Beach. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 2 p.m. for friends and family at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road N.E., Fort Walton Beach.
