MARGARET T. CASEY (nee KENNEDY) Suddenly, with her children at her side, on Wednesday November 19th, 2008 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of 50 years to the late James M. Casey (2007). Loving mother to Sheila Day and Tim (Paget Catania). Cherished "Grannie" of James, Lisa, Emily, Hannah, Ethan, Samantha, Maggie and Nate. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Jennie Kennedy and brothers Earl and Bill Kennedy. Survived by her sister Rae Hirvela of Sudbury, Ontario. Margaret travelled the world with the RCAF in the 50's and was a dedicated member of the RCAF Airwomen's Association. She was a devoted mother, enthusiastic gardener, supreme baker and avid reader. Margaret drew great joy from her eight grandchildren who loved her dearly. Known for her never ending vitality and generous spirit, Margaret will be missed by her family, friends and neighbours. Friends may call on Sunday, November 23, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral service will be held at the R.S. Kane Chapel on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 11 o'clock. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation - Odette Cancer Care Centre.
