Margaret Stuart Fraser Margaret Stuart Fraser of Riverview and formerly of Truro, NS passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital early Tuesday, November 12, 2002. Born on May 2, 1911 in Saskatoon, Sask. She was the daughter of the late Melville A. Schaffner and Emmaline Stuart. She attended Acadia University and graduated from the Provincial Normal College in Truro where she met and married her professor Lawrence E. A. Fraser. She was active in the community for many years. She was a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross, past president of the Truro Golf Club, a member of the Truro Duplicate Bridge Club and represented Canada in the World Bridge Olympaid in Denmark. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Truro for many years and a member of the I.O.D.E. She traveled extensively throughout the world with her friend and her sister the late Helen MacFarland of Florida. She is survived by her children , Bruce M. (Muriel) Fraser of Fredericton and Beverly A. (Gary) Bell of Riverview; six grandchildren, Robert (Carla) Fraser, Lawrence (Trina) Fraser, James Fraser, Lynda (David) Carter, Bradley Bell and Margo Bell; eight great grandchildren, Marissa and Daniel Fraser, Austin and Eden Fraser, Richard Fraser, Sean and Sarah Carter and Morgan Bell. She is predeceased by her husband Lawrence E. A. Fraser and her sister Helen MacFarland. Margaret loved life, her family and friends and bridge. Typical of Margaret was her note in her daughter's autograph book, "Aug 19, 1949; Be good dear child, and let who will be clever do noble things, not dream them all day long". A private family graveside will be at the Robie St. Cemetery in Truro, NS . Those wishing memorials, donations to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
