LAWRENCE - Margaret M. (Hynes) Maguire, 85, of Lawrence, a former Lowell resident and retired telephone operator, died Friday, Aug. 23, at Lawrence General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Francis E. Maguire.She was born in Methuen, and lived in the Merrimack Valley all her life. Mrs. Maguire worked as a telephone operator at New England Telephone for 23 years. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Lawrence and the Third Order of the Grey Nuns of Lexington.Survivors include a sister, Rose Allen of Lawrence; a brother, Walter Hynes of Malden; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.She was also the sister of the late Agnes Hynes, who served with the Sister of Charity order, and the late Edward Hynes.
