PIKE-GRAY, Margaret Jane (nee Alger) - Mrs. Margaret Jane Pike, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Sunday, January 24, 2010 in her 95th year. Daughter of the late J. Wilbert and Ruby Alger of North Bay. Predeceased by her husbands Thomas Albert (Ab) Gray of North Bay (1966) and Evan Pike of Stratford (1974). Predeceased by brother Clifford T. Alger of North Bay. Survived by brother Gerald Alger of North Bay, St. Catharines. Loving mother of Elizabeth Preston (Clifford) of Mississauga. Grandma to Michael Preston (Raffaella) of Burlington and Karen Preston (Gary) of Mississauga. Great-Gran to Lindsay, twins Jacob and Daniella and Ryan. Margaret was a 75 year member of the Rebekah Lodge, an active supporter of the Stratford Festival Theatre and Stratford Library, volunteered with Meals On Wheels and a recipient of the Ontario Horticultural Society award in 2007. She was also an avid reader and traveller. The family would like to thank Dr. Wayne Parsons and Dr. Hardwick for their excellent care of mom during her final days. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Wednesday, January 27th from 2-4 p.m. with the celebration of the life of Margaret to be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
