Margaret Brown Abbey, of 276 Garrett Drive, died Friday, March 2, 2001, at Laurens County Hospital in Clinton. She was a native of Petersburg, Va., a daughter of the late Willie Jenkins and Nora Horsely Jenkins and widow of Albert Abbey. She was a member of the Bethel Hall Baptist Church and a retired employee of Central State Hospital in Petersburg, Va. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Survivors include Thomas and Ernestine Garrett of the home and a special friend, Margaret Dilworth of Lawrenceville, Va. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bethel Hall Baptist Church with Dr. N.P. Pearson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
