Malcom-David Polson, conjoint de Diane Polson, père de Brian, Dennis, Wendy, Diane', Darlene et Sam, est décédé. Veuillez consulter son avis de décès ici:
POLSON, Malcom David Mal passed away peacefully early Monday morning in this 82nd year. He is survived by his loving wife Diane, his daughters Sam (Gary) McCall and Darlene (Dave) Cockle, Diane's daughter Wendy (Al) Claxton, Diane's sons Dennis (Tracy) Youell and Brian (Pam) Youell, grandchildren Julie, Sheri, Alysa, Kayla, Gord, Sarah and Amanda, and great grandchildren Sofija, Mateo and Owen. He is also survived by brother Bryan (Joyce) Polson and sister Sharon (John) Tomlinson along with many nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by brother Ron and sister Betty (Doug) Imrie. He was such a good man. Mal's greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. He had a particularly soft place in his heart for children and animals. To observe him interact with his grandchildren and family pets was something to behold. He was a lifelong resident of the Saanich Peninsula and was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about local history and events. He valued the importance of 'neighbourhood' and his Lochside Drive neighbours will no doubt miss his conversation, kindness and generosity. Mal took tremendous pride in his yard and flower gardens. Sadly, he wasn't able to physically take care of them himself this year but continually expressed his genuine appreciation at our attempts to approach his exacting standards. The last couple of months were challenging for Mal but he managed to stay at home, his favourite place on earth, surrounded by family up until his last day and a half. We are so very sad but we know that it was his time to go. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Community Health nurses and entire team who provided the support necessary to help keep Mal at home for as long as possible. There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Unit and/or wash your car and think of Mal.¼
