HAYES Mae Hayes, age 91, of Seymour, entered into rest Tuesday, September 14, 2004, in the Hewitt Memorial Hospital, Shelton. She was the wife of the late Wentworth Hayes. Mrs. Hayes was born in Suffield, on January 10, 1913, daughter of the late John and Mary (Minnie) Adams. Mrs. Hayes enjoyed traveling with her husband. She loved her family and enjoyed going to family gatherings with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always smiling and happy. Mrs. Hayes also volunteered for many charitable organizations, including Cerebral Palsy. She had a wonderful, long life and will be missed by all. She is the beloved mother of Perry Woodbury and his wife, Ann, of Suffield and Janel Woodbury, of Seymour. She is the loving grandmother of Paul Woodbury and his wife, Carrie, of Enfield and Michelle Swenson and her husband, Christopher, of Suffield. She is the great-grandmother of Joseph and Joshua Woodbury and Hannah and Emily Swenson. Funeral arrangements will be private and take place at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, has been entrusted with arrangements.
