Louise Savard Wright, age 91, a longtime resident of Port Orange died October 4, 2010. She will be greatly missed. The family of Mrs. Wright will receive friends and family on Monday, October 11, at Cardwell Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for October 12, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Epiphany Catholic Church in Port Orange, followed by internment at Woodland Cemetery. Louise Patricia Savard was born in Quebec City, the daughter of William Francis Savard and the former Alice Elise Vallee. She grew up in Hartford, CT, and raised her family in West Hartford and Darien, CT before retiring to Port Orange. She worked in the field of data processing and computer services. Throughout her life reading was her greatest passion; sharing that love of books with others made her an active member of the Friends of Port Orange Library. Those closest to her also remember her zeal for housework and yardwork and the pleasure that she had in entertaining friends and visiting relatives. Those who are left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert K. Wright, Jr of New Smyrna Beach and Kevin V. Wright of Stutgart, Germany; grandsons, Robert K. Wright, III of Baltimore, MD and TSgt Michael S. Wright, US Air Force, of Mildenhall, England; granddaughter, Michelle Saczynski of Havelock, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. In passing she joins her husband of over 50 years, Robert K. Wright, her sister, Beatrice Capwell and brothers, Godfrey, Hassel and Vincent. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to Friends of Port Orange Library, 1005 City Center Circle, Port Orange, FL 32129.
