ObituaryLois M. Baker, 86, of S. Fort Myers passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at the Lodge of Cypress Cove, a skilled nursing facility. She was born in Cincinnati, OH, September of 1919 to Vernon and Florence Fryburger. She was executive secretary to Otis Grasser, vice president at Ohio National Life Insurance Co., before marriage and to Walter Compton president of Washington State College, shortly after marriage.Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Earl Philip Baker, Jr. She was preceded in death by her older sister, Janice F. Zorini, and is survived by her brother, Vernon R. Jr., and her younger sister, Jean E. Scheehle. She is also survived by her two children, Karen L. Kirkup and Eric R. Baker, five grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.Mrs. Baker will be interred at a private service, Saturday, June 3, at Lee Memorial Park.
