<!-- FH = MOORE FUNERAL HOME -->HOFMAN, Lois Ann, of Sebring, Fla., and Denton, Md., died Friday, May 6, 2011, at the Caroline Home for Hospice in Denton. She was 82 years old. The daughter of the late Elmer George Hahn and Loretta Catherine Conrad Hahn, Mrs. Hofman was born in Wauwatosa, Wis. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1949. She married Donald G. Hofman June 9, 1951. They started their family shortly after in Waseca, Minn. Mrs. Hofman moved to Denton in 1972, and settled in Ridgely, Md., in 1973. She was a substitute teacher in Caroline County, a champion level golfer at Caroline County Country Club, a Girl Scout leader and a member of the St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church. In 1994, she and her husband, Donald, moved to Sebring. He died June 22, 1999. Mrs. Hofman is survived by her five favorite daughters, Donna Jean Weber and her husband, Rick of Denton, Beth Ostwald and her husband, Brent of Maple Grove, Minn., Diane Dewey and her husband, Rickie of Dover, Del., Lorry Hofman and her partner, Tina Krahn of Easton, Md., and Katie Schoonover and her husband, Bobby of Greenwood, Del.; nine grandchildren, Michael, Michele, James, Jennifer, Deanna, Brittany, Breanna, Chris and Kim; and six great- grandchildren, Madison, MaKayla, Trent, Faith, Tyson and Jada. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 16, at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church on Central Avenue in Ridgely. Friends may celebrate and toast Mrs. Hofman's life with the family 7- 9 p.m. Sunday evening at Moore Funeral Home P.A., 12 S. Second Street in Denton. The interment will take place at 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 20, at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave., in Bushnell, Fla.
