NOLAN Katharine Quinn Nolan, MD., died on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the Carolton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital, Fairfield. Dr. Nolan was predeceased by her husband, Dr. John F. Nolan; and her parents, Bernard and Kathryn Quinn. Dr. Nolan was a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and was Chief of Obstetrics at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, for many years. She was a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine. In 1965, Dr. Nolan received the award of Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice from the Holy Father, Pope Paul VI, in recognition of conspicuous service to the Church and the Holy See. Dr. Nolan was an avid golfer with memberships at Mill River Country Club and Tashua Knolls Golf Course. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at 9 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
