JACKSON, Karla Sue, The Lord released Karla from her earthly body and took her sweet spirit home to be with Him January 19, 2003. Our Lord tells us we will have a new place in heaven and Karla is now rejoicing in her new heavenly home. Karla Sue Mulkey Jackson, age 47, was born in Fort Meade, Maryland, December 15, 1955. Karla was the beloved third child of Ed and Ruth Mulkey. Karla had a profound, positive influence on, and enriched the lives of all who knew her. Karla was truly loved by her husband, her family and many friends and co-workers. Karla graduated from Central High School in 1973. She was a member atlarge of Beta Sigma Phi, a member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church in Flower Mound, Texas. Karla was a 26-year employee and most current a Manager for GTE/Verizon in Irving, Texas. Her father Ed Mulkey preceded Karla in death. She is survived by her husband Charles E. Jackson of Flower Mound, Texas; her mother, Ruth Mulkey of San Angelo; her brothers, Mark Heard and wife Kathy of Boerne, Texas, Joel Mulkey and wife Jan of San Angelo, Texas; a nephew, Jason Mulkey of Portland, Ore.; a niece, Stacie Burnside and husband Tony of San Marcos, Texas; two great nephews, Hunter and Fisher Burnside; her mother and father-in-law, George and Ouida Jackson of San Angelo; her brother-in-law George William Jackson and his wife Jane of Stuttgart, Ark. The services for Karla will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at the First Baptist Church Chapel, San Angelo, Texas, with interment at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens following the service.
