George B. Lee, Jr. August 12, 1926 - January 19, 2012 Jewett City - George B. Lee, Jr., 85, of 55 Dey St., Jewett City, died at his home Thursday evening. Born in Norwich on August 12, 1926, he was the son of the late George B. and Gertrude (Kaminski) Lee, Sr. A Veteran of World War II with the U.S. Navy, he was honorable discharged with the rank of Seaman First Class. Prior to his retirement he was a quality control inspector for Hubbell, Inc. Surviving is his son and daughter in law Daniel and Becky (McDermott) Lee of Norwich, a granddaughter Tabitha Banker, three great grandchildren, Samantha, Syrianna and Koen Banker, one brother Raymond Lee of Temple, NH, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation 5 to 7 P.M. Sunday at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, where the funeral will assemble on Monday at 8 A.M. and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. at St. Joseph Church, Cliff St., Norwich. Interment to follow with Military Honors in St. Joseph Cemetery.
