KNOX, JOYCE GERALDINE May 23, 1927, August 27, 2005 Joyce Knox of Salmon Creek died Saturday, August 27, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital following a sudden illness; she was 78. By faith she was a Jehovah's Witness. Born in Salmon Creek, NB she was the daughter of the late William and Annie (Hargrove) Thompson. She was a loving wife and mother and adored life and enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. One of her favorite things was sitting down with a hot cup of tea and cookies. She would often do this outside with her faithful little dog "beaver", they enjoyed watching nature together. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by one sister, Merle Kilfillen of Salmon Creek, one step-daughter, Edna Betts (Goldie) of Newcastle Bridge, daughter Donna (Winston) Chase of Fredericton, two sons, Fred Knox (Diane) of Minto and Alton Knox (Brenda) of Salmon Creek, 11 grand children,12 great-grand children and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Fern Kennedy, two brothers Bob Randall, Raymond Thompson and one infant grandson. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 31st at 11:00am at the Minto Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday, August 30th from 7 - 9 pm. At her request, she is being cremated and interment will be at the Red Bank Cemetery, Chipman, NB. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation. If you wish to send flowers her favorite were "mums". [Daily Gleaner]
