THOMPSON, JOYCE K., 59, of Astatula, FL passed away on Tuesday September 28, 2004 surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was born in Hibbing, Minnesota to Robert L. Strimback and Kathryn (Ritter) Strimback on October 30, 1944. She moved with her family to Florida in 1954. Joyce enjoyed tending to her horses and also was a longstanding member of the Arabian Horse Association. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Cecil Thompson of Astatula; her son, Bobby Thompson of Groveland; her two daughters, Donna Lucas of Grand Island and Debbie Thompson of Umatilla; her eight grandchildren, Robert, Ashlee, Steven, Jennifer, Tiffany, Tabitha, Terri, and Timothy and four great grandchildren, Ethan, Kayla, Austin and Lexi. She was a warm and loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be missed dearly by her family. Visitation is from 6-8PM on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at the Allen J. Harden Funeral Home in Mount Dora. Funeral Service will be held at 10AM on Friday October 1, 2004 in the Allen J. Harden Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Russell Moore officiating. The family has requested that expressions of gratitude for Joyce's life be made to the Hospice of Lake and Sumter Co., 12300 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778. Arrangements are by ALLEN J.
