Anderson, Joyce E., born in New Britain, CT January 2, 1947, grew up in Newington, CT. She was in Scouting and Rainbow Girls. After graduating from NHS, she moved to Washington, DC and worked at the FCC. Lifelong friends from DC were important in her life. In 1970, she moved back to Newington and worked for Holcomb Electric and Stam Construction as Administrator and Bookkeeper. In 1975, she joined her family in Florida where she started JOYCE'S LUNCH BOX. She then co-managed Sun Sentinel's Cafeteria. Throughout her life she was known for her good humor, love of food and her generous spirit. On Sunday, June 21st she passed away peacefully after a long hospitalization. She is survived by her father, Robert H. Anderson, brother, Bruce R. Anderson, niece and nephews, Sara Chamberlain, Aaron Cosman, Jason B. and Jon E. Anderson. A memorial service at Tamarac Section IV Clubhouse is planned for 4pm, July 22nd.
