A native of Neon, KY, Joy moved to FL in 1960 from IN. She worked as a teacher's assistant before retiring to enjoy her time gardening, reading, and volunteering. Joy loved keeping in touch with, and spending time with family and friends. She was a long-standing member of Community Church of God.She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Davis; two sons, Jeff and Tony Davis; granddaughter, Kara Emory; and sister, Patty Playforth. She is survived by her daughter, Gina Emory of Melbourne; two brothers; four sisters; granddaughter, Krista (Marsha) Emory; a very special friend, Doug Adkins; and many nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Community Church of God, 455 Audubon Dr, Melbourne, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joy's honor to the Community Church of God.
