TUSCALOOSA Johnny Mack Jones, age 63, of Tuscaloosa, died Sept. 24, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his father, William Leonard Jones, Sr.; and his brother, William Leonard Jones, Jr.Survivors include his wife, Debbie Jones of Tuscaloosa; son, Jason M. Jones (Anita) of Oceanside, Calif.; stepson, Jacob Hicks of Brilliant; sister, Rhonda K. Thomas of Macon, Ga.; brothers, James “Frank” Jones (Dot) and William “Sonny” Jones (Betty), all of Tuscaloosa; mother, Shirley Jones; and grandchildren, Caleb T. Jones and Presley B. Jones of Oceanside, Calif., and Taylor D. Hicks and Halle B. Hicks of Brilliant.The world lost one of its most caring people Saturday, Sept. 24th. Johnny Mack Jones was the one who always checked on the sick, gave to the poor, and preached tolerance to all. A selfless man who lived for others and exemplified the concepts of honor, courage, and faith, Mack was a dedicated husband, father, paw-paw, son, and brother. Mack lost his eyesight too early in life but had enough insight and drive to manage a 30-year career with the State of Alabama Rehabilitation and ran CTJ Business Services for the last eight years. He accomplished more in the dark than most do in the light. He was an inspiration and truly an angel among us. He will be missed by all who knew him but never forgotten. Mack was a blind man who taught a lot to see. Love you, hang in there. It is what it is.Pallbearers will be William L. Jones, III, Jeff Jones, Shane Jones, Joshua Thomas, Zachary Thomas, George Jones, Ronnie Jones, and Rod Watkins.Honorary pallbearers are Joe Green, Dave Clay, Tom White, Holt High School FELLAS, Holt High School Class of 1967 ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out), members of Mt.
