WILLIAMS, John Kenneth, After a courageous battle with COPD, at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday, May 10, 2003, in his 79th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Doris, and son-in-law Kevin. Loving stepfather to Bill (Nako), Stephen (R ita), Derek (Grace), and Susan. Loving grandfather to Corinne, Melissa, Willie, Kristin, Danika, and Netanya. Special friend of the Sannasi family. His intelligence, humour and loving generosity will be greatly missed by family and friends. During WW II, Ken served with the Merchant Navy in the North Atlantic and Caribbean, and the RCAF, where he saw service overseas. He worked for many years as a manager with Canada Packers Inc. in Montreal before retiring to the St. Catharines area. Ken was an avid golfer, and enjoyed playing the the Niagara Seniors Golf Group. The family wishes to acknowledge the following people whose acts of kindness made such a difference to Ken. Thank you to past and present tenants of the Prince Apartments, especial ly Stu and Fran, Reg, and Hank; homecare providers Elsa and Debbie; Bruno; and the staff at Starbucks, Fairview Mall. A very special thank you to Bill and Nancy Corey, whose generosity and dependability meant more than words could ever express. A rec eption honouring Ken will be held on Thursday, May 15 from 1-3 p.m. in the main floor parlour of the Prince Apartments, 76 Roehampton Ave., St. Catharines. Cremation has taken place. A private Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Les Jar dins Urgel Bougie, St. Laurent, Quebec. If desired, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Lung Association.
