John Frederick Weller, 69, Seymour, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Weller was a member of Reddington Christian Church. He was a tool and die maker for General Motors in Bedford for 35 years, and for Indiana Die Cast for five years. He was an elder of the church, and what he enjoyed most about being an elder was serving the sick and shut-ins. He was an Eagle Scout and was interested in the Civil War. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who took good care of his family. He enjoyed watching his family grow and lived his life so as to be a good influence on them. Born Feb. 18, 1938, in Seymour, he was a son of Carl Frank and Emma Louise Greenwell Weller, both of whom preceded him in death. On June 22, 1958, in Seymour, he married Nellie Marie Gray, who survives. Other survivors include children, Dana Mitchell, Jondra (Brent) Brewer, Fred (Lori) Weller and Amanda (Philip) Goins; grandchildren, Leslie (Travis) Hall, Jonathon Mitchell, Rachel Weller, Kayla Weller, Christian Brewer, Lauren Brewer, Jordan Brewer, Samuel Goins and Jachin Goins; and a brother, Don (Anita) Weller. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie Weller and Tom Weller. The Rev. Scott Brown and the Rev. Bill Weaver will conduct funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Reddington Christian Church. Burial will take place at Reddington Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, and from 1 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be given to Reddington Christian Church, Hospice of Schneck Medical Center, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Johnson Bible College or donor's choice.
