DONALDS John E. Donalds II, 85, passed away peacefully at The Lodge Care Center in Loveland, OH, on March 4 2010. John was born February 17, 1925 to Helen T. Donalds and John E. Donalds in St Croix Falls, Wisconsin. John served in WWII as a pilot in the Army Air Corps. Upon his honorable discharge as 2nd Lieutenant, John received his Bachelor of Science Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota and his Masters Degree from the Harvard Business School. John enjoyed a long and illustrious career with Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan. He retired in 1985 as the Manager of the Genetics Research Division to become the CEO of Collaborative Research in Lexington, Massachusetts. An avid sailor all his life, John officially retired to his homes in Stuart, Florida and Charlevoix, Michigan in 1987. John is preceded in death by his wife, Amanda Perry Donalds, and daughters Elizabeth Donalds and Linda Voll. John is survived by his daughter, Katherine D. Stone, his son, John E. Donalds III, grandchildren Paul J. Hopkins, Jeffrey R. Hopkins, Stephanie M. Donalds, Christopher J. Donalds, and great grandchild Kerry N. Hopkins.
