Jean P. Wheeler April 5, 1919 - November 3, 2007 DANIELSON - Jean P. Wheeler, 88, of Danielson, died November 3, 2007 at Haven Health Center in Danielson. She was born in Dayville, April 5, 1919, daughter of the late Eugene and Edna (Dufresne) Kibbe. She was first married to William West who died in February of 1955 and later married James Wheeler who died in February of 1978. Mrs. Wheeler was a 1937 graduate of Killingly High School, where she was very involved in school activities including orchestra, band, plays, poetry, and was also a drum major. She graduated in 1940 from the Pawtucket Memorial Hospital Nursing Program. She worked as a Registered Nurse at the Mansfield Training School and later for Dr. Lavius Robinson and several nursing homes in Brooklyn. She is survived by her children, William E. West and his wife Jean of Plainfield, Cynthia Braaten and her husband Ronald of Woodstock and Pamela Kauranen and her husband Leo of Dayville; eight grandchildren, Christine Chenail, Kelly Rivers, Sharon Korsu, William A. West, Amy Curtis, Christopher West, Jeffrey Robertson and James Robertson and ten great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 11 A.M. in Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 500 LBJ Fwy., Ste.250, Dallas, TX 75244.
