Davis, Jean L. RENSSELAER Jean Lansing Davis, 86, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 on her 58th wedding anniversary surrounded by her husband and loving family. Born in Macon, Ga., she was a lifelong resident of Rensselaer and graduate of Van Rensselaer High School who loved shopping, antique dolls, reading historical novels, and meals out with family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Rebecca Lansing of Rensselaer and the sister of the late Hewitt Lansing of Providence, R.I. She is survived by husband of 58 years, Edmund, and her children, Carol and Brian, both of Rensselaer, all of whom will miss her dearly. Jean's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Rosewood Gardens for their kind and thoughtful care during her final illness. The funeral will be private at the request of the family.
