MOORE Jean Kautzman Moore, age 90, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, in the Masonic Home, Wallingford. Born in Verona, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Mary Malcolm Kautzman. Mrs. Moore summered on Fairfield beach for many years and eventually settled here. A retired schoolteacher, Jean was active in Masonic organizations, local senior groups and was a member of the Southport Congregational Church. She was the wife of the late Arthur Bennett Moore Sr. to whom she was married for 56 years. Survivors include a son, Arthur B. Moore Jr. of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Jill Moore Cook of Fairfield; two sisters, Roberta Ravlin and Margaret Wollentin, both of Maryland; and her dear cousin, Mary Draper Biehn of Fairfield. She was a devoted grandmother to Alice Moore of Deltona, Fla., Kimberly Cook Fox of Fairfield, Jamie Maxwell Cook of Stamford and Gregory Russell Cook of Fairfield; and two great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Riley Fox of Fairfield. Private graveside services will be held in Lawncroft Cemetery. If desired contributions may be made to the Masonic Home, Wallingford, CT in her memory. The Spear Funeral Home, 39 S. Benson Rd. Fairfield, is in charge of arrangements.
