->Montville - Jane L. Davis, 90, formerly of Fort Shantok Road, Uncasville, passed away peacefully on Nov. 12, 2010, at Beechwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.Jane was born Dec. 19, 1919, in New London, the daughter of the late Kostanty and Pauline Maria (Cydlo) Lambrych. A graduate of Williams Memorial Institute, Mrs. Davis was employed for many years as a dietician at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.An avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, she often said that she would not pass away until she saw her beloved Sox win it all. It brought her great joy to live to see them win it not once, but twice.In 1977, she was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Ernest Davis.A loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, she is survived by her daughter, Vicki Elliott of Uncasville; her son, Arthur Davis of Oakdale; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Alan (Davis) Adams; three brothers, Walter, Joseph, and Stephen Lambrych; a grandson, Robin Davis; and a great-granddaughter, Rochelle Bigelow.The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. The funeral procession will assemble at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the funeral home and proceed to St. Joseph Church, Squire St., New London, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Jefferson Ave., New London.Kindly omit flowers.
