He was born July 18, 1950 the son of Elmer S. Davis and Frances Louise Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Donald J. Davis of Rathdrum, ID. He is survived by a brother Gary W. Davis; a sister-in-law, Marlene Davis of Rathdrum, Id; a son Jason J. Davis and his partner in life Michael Buyce and their two sons, Republic, MO. James is also survived by Special Friends, Gary Powell, Phil Siler, Bob Sell, and Andy Faulk. Graveside services will be Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
