ALBANY Irene Kross Williams, 86, died Sunday, December 18, 2005 at her daughter's home in Loudonville. Born in Colonie, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Blanch Applebee Kross. She retired from the New York State Department of Mental Hygiene in 1980. Mrs. Williams was a graduate of the former St. Ann's Academy in Albany's South End and longtime communicant of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and St. Vincent De Paul Church. She volunteered for many organizations following retirement. Irene was predeceased by her husband in 1966, Edward J. Williams. She was the dear mother of Carolyn Cramer (Paul) of Loudonville and Judy Cranston (Russ) of Keuka Lake, N.Y.; beloved grandmother of Cindy Breslin, Matthew E. Breslin, Gavin Cranston, Tracey Cranston and Todd Cranston (Erica); great-grandmother of Matthew T. Breslin; sister of Marion Ryan of Mechanicville, Harriet Faas of Albany, Rosemary Gage of Clifton Park, Patricia Zaremski (Jack) of Schenectady, Benjamin Kross (Peg) of Guilderland and the late Isabelle Kross; many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to St. Vincent De Paul Church, Albany at 10:00 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
