A lifetime member of the Salvation Army Irene also worked with the women's ministry, was known for her "juicy story telling", enjoyed archeology but most of all loved caring for and spending time with her family. Leaving behind her loving husband, Harvey whom she spent 64 years with, Irene is also survived by her beloved children, Major Harvey Johnson Jr. (Ann), Deborah D'Anna (John Parker), Darlene Anderson (Richard); her dear sister, Duella Braden "Sissy"; and brother, Robert Clark (June); and her cherished 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandc-hildren. Visitation will be held today, Wednesday May 28, from 6-8 pm, at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, with a funeral service Thursday at 11 am, at the Salvation Army (Lakeland Church), 2620 Kathleen Rd., Lakeland, with interment following at the Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
