LOWELL -- Irene L. (Chartrand) Marchildon, 82, of Lowell, died Friday, July 15, at a local nursing home. She was the wife of the late Armand O. Marchildon.She was born in Lowell, on Nov. 12, 1922, daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Martineau) Chartrand. She attended the Lowell schools.She was a communicant of St Louis de France Church in Lowell.Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Marchildon worked as a weaver at United Elastic.She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Marchildon and his wife Eileen of Pepperell; a daughter and son-in-law, Therese Corkum and her husband Roger of Tyngsboro; four brothers, Andre Chartrand, Roger Chartrand, Donald Chartrand, and Wilfred Chartrand, all of Lowell; three sisters, Doris Maille, Annette Chartrand, and Constance Tessier, all of Lowell; four grandchildren, Pam Marchildon of Lowell, Robert Marchildon of Pepperell, Roger Corkum of Manchester, N.H., and Kimberly Corkum of Reading.Mrs Marchildon also leaves a great-grandchild, Kyle Corkum; as well as several nieces and nephews.
