HUGH FRANCIS ORR DYER, IN Hugh Francis Orr, age 60, of Dyer, passed away Friday January 25, 2013. Hugh is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Betty; sons: Hugh (Cindy), Derek (Colette), Ryan (Bree) and Randy (Marikko) Orr; grandchildren: Hugh II, Tyler, Aiden, Chase, Kieran, Eric and Caryssa; mother Laverne Orr; siblings: Ron, Mark, Terry and Debra; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his father, Hugh; and siblings: Linda and Steven. Hugh was a coach in sports and life. He enjoyed gardening, maintaining his ponds and spending time with his family. Hugh was a quiet, observant, student of life as well as a mentor and father figure to many around him. He was a thoughtful man that was known for giving his last dollar to a friend in need. Hugh was known for his quiet demeanor, his quick wit and his sarcasm that could only be understood by those that knew him. He was affectionately known as "Old Dude" and he will forever be remembered as "A pretty cool guy". Services were entrusted to the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory Schererville. 219-322-7766
