Hugh E. Morrison, 62, Bradenton, died Dec. 7, 2003. He was born April 2, 1941, in Chicago and came to Manatee County in 2001 from Annapolis, Md. He retired after 31 years from Bell Atlantic Telephone Company. He was a member of the Bradenton Beach Moose Lodge, American Legion Kirby Stewart Post No. 24 of Bradenton and the Fleet Reserves in Annapolis. He served in the Navy in Vietnam, and served five years of active duty and 23 years in the Reserves. He attended Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Pat; his mother, Vera of Des Plaines, Ill.; daughters Melanie of Kyiv, Ukraine, and Jennifer Kassen of Cincinnati; stepsons Ross K. Williams and R. Keith Williams, both of Onalaska, Wis., and Jason B. Williams of Cape Coral; a sister, Millie Palamara of Sunland, Calif.; brothers Edward H. of Pensacola and Paul M. of Des Plaines; and four stepgrandchildren. No visitation is scheduled. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 43rd Street Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 600 U.S. 301 Blvd. W., Suite 136, Bradenton, FL 34205.
