Howard Frederick Peters FL/ TOWN OF MARSHALL Mr. Howard Frederick Peters, 80, of Old Town passed away Monday, December 30, 2013. Mr. Peters was born on December 8, 1933 on Paris Hill in the Town of Marshall, New York to the late Glenn Thomas Peters and Hazel Olwen (Adams) Peters. He worked many various jobs including, dairy farming, backhoe service, truck driver, vocational arts teacher and mechanic for Hubbard Construction Co., Vestal Asphalt, Long Farms, Long Farms North, and Long and Scott Farms. He was a member of the Lake Square Presbyterian Church but attended Old Town United Methodist Church after moving here in 2012 from Weirsdale, Florida. He is survived by sons, Allen Peters (MaryLou), of Old Town, FL and Jeff Peters, of Sorrento, Florida; sisters, Olwen Guiles and Emily Guiles, and brother, Lynn Peters, all of New York State. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, Wynnette Peters and Sandra Peters and a brother, Stuart Peters. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:00AM at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Rainear and Chaplain Steve Woodbury officiating. Interment will follow at Sorrento Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
