DEPAUW DAVIS, HELEN S. GENTON, 88, passed away Friday, June 17, 2005, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN. She was born June 15, 1917, in Crab Orchard, KY, to the late Louis and Sophie Goepp Genton. She was a homemaker and co-owner of Davis Crushed Stone and Lime Company in Depauw. Her husband, John S. Davis, and a son, Arnold Davis, preceded her in death. She is survived by her two sons, Eric E. Davis (Charlotte) of New Salisbury, IN, and Simon A. Davis (Janet) of Depauw; two daughters, Veronica Blevens (Dave) of Ramsey, IN, and Selma Lakins (Lewis) of Depauw; a brother, Ernest Genton of Jeffersonville, IN; a sister, Ida Genton of Cincinnati, OH; daughter-in-law, Laverne Davis of Depauw; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy. 64 NW, Ramsey, with burial in Milltown Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday.
