Avis de décès de Helen-Margaret Jacob

Helen Margaret Jacob Helen Margaret Jacob, 90, longtime resident of Hallandale Beach, Fla., passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008, in Tallahassee, Fla. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. EDT Friday, July 11, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, with burial at Hollywood Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, Fla. Family will receive friends in the parish hall at the church following the Mass.A native of Sykesville, Pa., Marge grew up surrounded by her seven brothers and sisters, her parents and grandparents. Some of her fondest memories were of her childhood, where she and her family worked on their farm, played games and cared for one another. It was in Sykesville that she would learn the importance of faith, family, the value of hard work and, as she often said, to simply "be a good person." She and her husband, Bob, moved to East Paterson, N.J., where, during World War II, she went to work refurbishing airplanes used in combat. It was there that she and her husband began their family. In 1966, after traveling around the United States, she and Bob retired and moved to Hallandale Beach, where they enjoyed their family and friends at their condominium community, Paradise Harbour. Born Margaret Marie, she was raised in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church in Sykesville. Her faith in God was unyielding and until recently, she walked to church every Saturday when in Hallandale Beach. She is a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Hallandale Beach and attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church during her many visits to Tallahassee. Marge lived a life rich in love and with total devotion to family. She never met a stranger and shared her love with everyone she knew. And, you never left her without one of her famous goodbye kisses. She was devoted to her husband, Bob, and their daughter, Bonnie. She loved and was devoted to her grandson and his wife, and her great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie M. Sniffen of Tallahassee; grandson Robert J. Sniffen, and his wife, Ashley, and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Summerlin and John, all of Tallahassee; and by her sisters, Ann Malizia of Emporium, Pa., and Madeline Puyda of DuBois, Pa., as well as her extended family of nieces and nephews.Marge was preceded in death in 1983 by her husband, Robert T. Jacob, and in 1993 by her son-in-law, Charles A. Sniffen.
