<!-- FH = Willow Springs Funeral Home -->Helen L. StephensonMrs. Helen Stephenson, of Willow Springs, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2011 while at Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs. Born on November 20, 1927 in Mountain View, Missouri to Clarence and Lydia (Webb) Boyer. She was 83 years old.Helen was united in marriage to Wayne A. Stephenson on January 17, 1945 in Salem, Arkansas. To this union three children were born. Helen was a charter member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Willow Springs where she remained active until her health failed. Helen had many enjoyments in her life such as doing volunteer work, baking goodies for friends and delivering them to the nursing home; however, her greatest joy came from raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Cecil Boyer; and two sisters, Louis Abbey and Bernice Alexander.Mrs. Stephenson is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Wayne Stephenson of Willow Springs; her three sons, Mike Stephenson and his wife Clara of Jefferson City, Missouri; Greg Stephenson and his wife Vicky of Springfield, Missouri; and Terry Stephenson and his wife Jeanine of Effingham, Illinois. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Julie Gugel, Caleb Stephenson, Tony Stephenson, Veronica Aichele, Wayne Stephenson, Lauren Stephenson, and Lindsey Stephenson. Three great-grandchildren and her brother Jim Boyer of San Angelo, Texas further survive.Friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Trinity Baptist Church, located at 304 West Tenth Street in Willow Springs. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Willow Funeral Home, located at 106 E. Third Street in Willow Springs. Burial will follow Saturday's service in the Willow Springs City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home in Willow Springs.
