Helen Lorene Guyse Mitchell, age 83, died Dec. 19, 2009, at her residence.Visitation will be at noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence, Ala., with the funeral at 1 p.m. in the chapel, with Brother John Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Mitchell was born in Florence, Ala., and was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Lora Guyse; her sisters, Evelyn Hunt, Nadine Fenn, Mildred Fenn, Margaret Keeton, Catherine Putnam, Shirley Morgan; and her husband, Dr. Jesse C.
