HARVEY, Helen Barbara On October 30th 2007 at the age of 84 years, our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away with her family around her after a long and courageous battle with congestive heart failure. Helen was a vibrant and loving spirit who touched so many people in her life. She always showed remarkable strength and optimism in the face of adversity and despite tremendous health challenges over the last decade, she remained an inspiration to us all. Her family and friends meant the world to her and she never missed an opportunity to be with them. She came from a generation of women who devoted themselves to home and hearth and her gifts of wisdom, humour, wit and love are a wonderful legacy to us all. She was grateful for everyday she had on this earth and would often say that living life to the fullest is what matters the most. She never missed a party or a gathering because it was being with people that filled her with joy. Helen leaves to mourn her children, Brian (Toni), Mike (Sue), Pat, Mary Jo (Bob), Maggie and all of the Harvey family, grandchildren Michelle (John), Robin, Jennifer, Jessie, David, Katie, Sarah, Kyle, Curtis, Connor, Corey, Huey, and Allison and 7 great grandchildren. A very special thanks to Dr. Barry Conway for many years of compassionate care and to Darvon and staff at the Renaissance Retirement Home for making her last years full of cherished memories. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Society of BC. A funeral Mass will be held at 2pm Friday, November 2nd at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, corner of Burnside Rd. West and McKenzie Ave. Reception to follow in the church basement. 421856
