ANDERSON, Helen Crawford 90 of Upper LaHave and formerly of Ottawa, passed away Monday, March 1, 2004 at home. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late James and Marion (Goold) McAllister. Helen was a lady with incredible strength, and had a keen sense of interest in everything around her. From living in the north to demonstrating her democratic right on Parliament Hill, she lived life to the fullest and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She is survived by her son David and his wife Nancy Anderson, Upper LaHave; daughter, Gail and husband Gerry Bing, Port Moody, BC; sister, Elizabeth Vincent, Ottawa; grandchildren, Dawn Anderson and companion Darrin McEwen, Vancouver; special niece and nephew Susan and her husband Jim Bridgeman and their children Laura and Erica of Ottawa and Philip Vincent and companion Hans Agarwal of Ottawa. Helen was predeceased by her husband, George, sisters, Jean and Mary. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. #3. Lunenburg, where a memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, Rev. George MacDonald officiating. Interment will be at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa at a later date.
