-> Hazel Ellen Wade, widow of Cephas G. Wade, Sr., died December 10, 2005 at the age of 91. The Wades were former residents of Dixie and Pavo Georgia, and in their retirement years lived on Tybee Island. Mrs. Wade served over thirty years in the field of education, as a teacher, principal and media supervisor in Brooks, Lowndes and Thomas Counties. She was a graduate of Valdosta State College with a Masters Degree in Library Science from Peabody College in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born in Russell Springs, Kentucky. Mrs. Wade was an active member of her church, Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church at Tybee Island until 1997, when she moved into Golden Crest Assisted Living Residence in Morrow Georgia. Surviving is her son and daughter in law, Dr. John S. and Gail Wade of Buckhead GA., two daughters and sons in law, Martha Wade and Louis Aenchbacher of Montezuma Ga., Margaret Wade and Charles Carter of Jonesboro GA., a sister, Marie Owens, a brother, James Wadeboth of Russell Springs Kentucky and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel. Burial will be in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
