EL MIRAGE, Ariz. - Guy A. Davis, 81, passed away peacefully at home in El Mirage, Ariz. on Jan. 20, 2014. He was born to Charles Ronald Davis and Marie Elyse (Cloutier) Davis on June 30, 1932 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Andrew and Robert and sister Maureen. He immigrated to New Hampshire in 1963 and was employed with Chicopee Mills, then by Sanders Associates for 20 years until he retired in 1995. He invested in making family memories with his children and grandchildren. We were graced to have shared in his life. He attended Westminster Presbyterian Church. He adored children and babies. In his later years, he visited local hospitals and nursing homes seeking the lonely to share prayer or a game or even a drive to the ocean. He volunteered at the Franco American Club and the Richelieu Club. He remained in awe of our New Hampshire mountains and never failed to remark on the mountains surrounding the sunny Arizona valley after moving there in 2009. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Doris Davis, his five daughters and their spouses including: Maureen and Kurt Bradford and Sandra and Brian Egan of New Hampshire, Karen and Leo St. Armand of North Carolina, Pamela Reebenacker and Jennifer Whitney of Iowa. He was "Popeye" to his 10 grandchildren including Joel and Lauren Bradford, Heather Davis and Shawn Michael, Patrick and Shannon Egan, Ryan and Nathan Reebenacker, Audrey and David Whitney and his great grandson, Miles Bradford. His surviving brothers include Claude, Leonard, and William Davis of Canada. He was blessed with many kind nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be planned for later this spring.
