-->Grace Ellen Dover Mitchell DALLAS, TX-- Grace Ellen Dover Mitchell, born in Paragould, Arkansas on January 12, 1925, she departed this world on July 1, 2008, in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Griffith Dover and her two sisters, Betty Hughes and Mary Keasler. She is survived by her children, Randy Mitchell and his wife Pam and Ann Vendig and her husband Lee. She had two grandchildren, Cary Hart and her husband Brad and Philip Higginbotham III and his wife Jodi. Lee Vendig II was her step grandson and she had a special joy for his son Luke. She had three great grandchildren, Savannah and Hunter Hart and Holden Higginbotham. The first half of her life was spent in Paragould, AR. She graduated from Paragould High School and attended college a short time before marrying Ralph W. Mitchell. She was a member and served on the Board of Directors of First United Methodist Church. She moved to Spartanburg, SC to be near her grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she received a Life Membership in United Methodist Women and served on the Board of Directors. She worked in real estate and spent many years with Cleveland White Realtors. She loved the Cleveland family, particularly Arthur. She was recognized nationally for her advertisements and given the "Spirit Award" four times. She relaxed playing bridge, traveling and dining with friends. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Traymore for the kindness shown to her on a daily basis. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Sparkman-Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel. Friends are invited to the home of her daughter afterwards.
