JACKSON, GEORGE A.George A. Jackson, 98 passed away on Saturday at Shands Hospital. A native of Cordele, GA he came to Gainesville in 1977 from New York. Mr. Jackson was a graduate of New York University, member of Church Of God By Faith, where he served as a deacon, he was also a US Army Veteran. Mr. Jackson was employed as a dietician. Survivors include: Son, Lawrence Jackson, devoted nieces, Juanita Jackson, Pamela (Wilbur) Jackson-James, Andrea (Charles) Johnson all of Miami, FL. Cassandra (Kevin) Mack Gainesville, FL. One nephew James C. Jackson Miami, FL. Funeral Services for Mr. Jackson will be held on Sat. March 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Church Of God By Faith with James E. McKnight, Sr. Officiating, burial will follow in Forest Meadows East Park under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home, 8 N.W. 8th Ave. Visitation on Friday at Chestnut Chapel 2:00-7:00 PM and on Saturday at the Church of God By Faith one hour before the service.
