JOHNSON, Gary C. 76, of Hudson, died June 29, 2009 at home. He was born in Jefferson, IA to Carl & Nettie Johnson in 1933. He was a resident of East Brunswick before moving to Florida 11 years ago. Mr. Johnson received his Bachelor's degree from Texas Technical University of Lubbock, TX. He was the comptroller for Foodtown in Clifton, retiring in 1998 after many years of devoted service. Mr. Johnson was an avid theater patron. He very much enjoyed Broadway and off-Broadway shows. He enjoyed singing and dancing in many community performances. He was also involved in his local community watch in Hudson. Mr. Johnson was predeceased by his daughter Ramonda Matthews. He is survived by his wife Claire (nee Zimmerman) Johnson of Hudson; his children, Diane Rumsey-Malaney of Grand Island, NY, Steve Dzuro and his wife Carol of Milltown, Debbie Ostroski and her husband Tom of East Brunswick, Mary Beth Golla and her husband Henry of Cream Ridge and Konrad Johnson and his wife Shannara of VT; his brother Neil and his wife Sue of Albuquerque, NM and sister Nola Jones and her husband Richard of Alamorgoda, NM; 19 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Services will be Friday 9:30 from the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St., Somerset, NJ followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in New Brunswick.
